Police are in search of two men who shot at them in Carenage early on Wednesday 25th October, 2023.
• Around 1:00am, officers were on mobile patrol along Abbe Poujade Street in Carenage near Jones Street when they observed occupants of a gold Nissan Tiida acting suspiciously.
• As the officers attempted to intercept the vehicle, it sped off and a chase ensued.
• During the chase, the suspects allegedly exited the vehicle while it was still in motion and ran into a nearby yard.
• One of the suspects then began shooting at the officers who became fearful for their lives and returned fired; however, the suspects managed to escape unharmed.
• Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene and the vehicle and recovered several spent shell casings.
