A 36-year-old man was shot and killed in Tacarigua on Sunday night.
The deceased is Nigel Roach of Alexander Street, Dinsley Village, Tacarigua.
He died at the Mt. Hope Hospital while undergoing emergency treatment.
Just after 10 p.m., police responded to a report about a shooting at Alexander Street.
When officers got to the scene they saw several persons assembled on the roadway and they were directed to a flat concrete house.
Roach, a known drug offender, police said, was discovered in the yard with multiple gunshot injuries about the body.
He was taken to the hospital by officers where he later died. 3 spent and one live round of 9mm ammunition were found at the scene. Investigations are continuing into the incident.
