Belmont Man Held With Loaded Gun By Police

A Belmont man was held with a loaded AR-15 rifle by police in St. James. During the period 11.45 pm on 13/11/23 and 12.30 am on 14/11/23, based on information received, an anti-crime operation, sanctioned by ACP Maharaj, coordinated by Snr Supt Henry and ASP Russell, spearheaded by Insp Grant and Cpl Linton, was conducted at Belle Vue Road St James, and included Cpl Moreno, WPC Juman, and PC Ali, during which vehicle PCU 8783 a black Suzuki Vitara was intercepted and searched. One AR 15 and 21 rounds of 5.56 ammo were found and seized in the said vehicle. The driver and only occupant Kyle Budree age 24 of Davis Street Belmont was arrested and charged by Cpl Linton.
