A security guard was shot at during an attempted robbery at a supermarket in San Fernando on Thursday 26th October, 2023.
• Around 8:35pm, the guard was on duty at a supermarket in Palmyra Village when he observed two men armed with guns running towards the establishment.
• Upon seeing the guard, the suspects began shooting at the guard who took cover and returned fire.
• The suspects then fled the scene on foot and the police were notified.
• A team of officers led by PC Sookdeo and WPC Harripersad responded and made checks for the suspects who were yet to be found.
