A 48 yr old man was beaten and robbed of a bag that contained $88,000 outside a bank in Arima.
The victim is an employee of NP Gas Station, and was on his way to deposit the cash when he was accosted by a man in the car park.
The suspect held the victim in a headlock and attempted to wrestle the bag with the cash but the victim managed to put up a fight.
He was beaten about the body and a second man approached and assisted his accomplice in gaining control of the bag of cash before both men escaped on foot.
The incident happened near RBC bank where the victim was on his way to deposit the cash around 7;30 am at Lord Kitchener Ave on Monday 20th November 2023.
