Blessed and fortunate and happy and spiritually prosperous (in that state in which the born-again child of God enjoys His favor and salvation) are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), for they shall be completely satisfied!--Matthew 5:6, AMPC
And blessed (happy, to be envied) is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of the things that were spoken to her from the Lord.--Luke 1:45, AMPC
Never return evil for evil or insult for insult (scolding, tongue-lashing, berating), but on the contrary blessing [praying for their welfare, happiness, and protection, and truly pitying and loving them]. For know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God—that you may obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection].--I Peter 3:9, AMPC
Praise the LORD, He taught me to bless my loved ones years ago. He started by having me choose Scriptures to pray over my daughter when she was born. I had her dedicated to the LORD on Mother's Day at churchwhen she was just three months old. The LORD had led me to a set of Scriptures that I prayed over her, and which the preacher read out loud over her at the dedication.
(She has had some challenges, of course, but has grown up being taught in the Word, loving it, and living it. She will fulfill the destiny the LORD has for her, in the Name of Jesus, Halellujah!)
There is nothing like the Word of God, which is eternal, unchanging, and life-giving!
It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]; the flesh conveys no benefit whatever [there is no profit in it]. The words (truths) that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life.--John 6:63, AMPC
You can pray/speak these over yourself and your loved ones daily, even if your loved one is not near you. There is no distance in the Spirit, and the Word of God goes on forever!
So here are just three Scriptures to pray, to shape those lives for Christ!
1. Who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [His] blood: May grace (spiritual blessing) and peace be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts].--I Peter 1:2, AMPC
2. Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who reads aloud [in the assemblies] the word of this prophecy; and blessed (happy, to be envied) are those who hear [it read] and who keep themselves true to the things which are written in it [heeding them and laying them to heart], for the time [for them to be fulfilled] is near.--Revelation 1:3, AMPC
3. The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).--Numbers 6:24-26, AMPC
There are many more verses about being blessed in the Word. In the Amplified Classic, there were 576 Scriptures with the word "bless" in them!
Go for it! Ask the LORD to help you find more to pray over your loved ones, for truly, every time you pray the Word over them in faith and love, it is a Blessing that the LORD can run with in their lives, to change them into His image!
